About
Hello. My name is Joshua Montgomery and I am currently a senior at DePaul University. My major is game design with a minor in computer science. I have a strong passion for not only playing video games, but making them as well. I specialize in level design, as I've learned to create interactive levels that combine gameplay mechanics and player experience. I have experience in working in different game engines like Unity and Unreal. A few other skills include making both 2D and 3D art assets from scratch using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Blender, getting feedback from playtests and incorporating feedback into the level, creating and implementing sound, and learning to work with and communicate with my peers on group projects.
While I usually enjoy working on my own for games, I will often collaborate with others when I work on a game. I enjoy working with others to help flesh out my ideas and to gather feedback on what works and what doesn't work within a game. Collaboration also allows me to get help with solving problems I may encounter while working on a game. I also enjoy working with others to help flesh out their ideas and bring them to light. I believe collaborating with others helps ensure a fully polished and enjoyable final product. I seek to explore new ideas with in video games and to provide entertainment to people around the world. I also seek new opportunities to help other people in the gaming industry bring their dreams and ideas to life through their games. Feel free to reach out and contact me and I encourage you to look through my portfolio and check out my work.
